I have had my Acura TSX serviced at Mac Churchill for a year and a half now and could not be happier. The service techs are so friendly and helpful, they listen to my concerns, and the service area couldn't be cleaner or more customer-friendly. They have always taken great care of my car and me. Even when I had to pull in unexpectedly to get an immediate repair, they finished the repair same day and gave me a loaner vehicle to use in the meantime. Best service I've ever received from a dealership or service center. Would recommend them to anyone!

Campaign for All-New Acura RLX Features Innovative, Multidimensional Marketing and Kicks Off with March College Basketball Tournament

Diverse, high-profile media mix speaks to broad and targeted audiences; Largest mobile investment to date

2014 Acura RLX

An integrated, multiplatform advertising campaign supporting the debut of the all-new 2014 Acura RLX, recently launched, featuring extensive, yet targeted placements on TV and in print, digital and mobile. The robust campaign, communicating the theme, "Luxury, taken to a whole new level," is designed to heighten awareness of the Acura brand while also capturing the attention of prospective RLX owners.

"The all-new Acura RLX is one of the most innovative luxury sedans on the market, aimed at the affluent customers who form the heart of the premium luxury sedan market," said Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations. "By utilizing an integrated campaign in the context of the big annual college hoops tournament, we are able to reach a large audience and still remain highly targeted."

Throughout March and April, the dynamic media mix is composed of high-impact, mass-awareness placements in the late-round men's college basketball tournament games; sponsorship of the ESPN Tournament Challenge, which includes TV, display, mobile, video, social and brand ownership of the brackets; and video sponsorship of the college basketball tournament on demand. Tapping in to the target's passion for golf, there will also be a strong presence in several high-profile golf tournaments on CBS.

While speaking to a broad audience is critical to generate awareness for Acura's new luxury sedan, this campaign also is focused on capturing the attention of the RLX core target. That means delivering the message where this discerning target consumes media: The media pie is nearly equally divided among TV, print and digital, to take advantage of the targets' media-consumption habits.
Beginning in April and continuing throughout the summer, highly focused and frequent media will sustain RLX awareness by leveraging cable networks such as Bloomberg and CNBC; print that includes Forbes, Travel+Leisure and Wired; impactful New York Times and Wall Street Journal units; and home-page takeovers on news, sports and financial sites; and mobile and video networks. This campaign marks Acura's most significant marketing investment in mobile to date. Extensive use of data layering of digital and mobile network buys will ensure reach to RLX prospects. Notably, Acura will continue to leverage Apple's mobile iAd units, following a very successful campaign for the recently-launched Acura RDX.

RLX campaign creative is positioned to build prestige by highlighting , signature technologies such as Precision All-Wheel Steer™ (P-AWS) , Jewel Eye™ LED headlights and the next generation of the AcuraLink® connected car system, as well as luxury-class interior room and comfort. A new TV spot, "Luxury, Luxury," multiple print spreads and pages, and video units and digital banners will amplify RLX prestige messaging.

On sale tomorrow, the 2014 Acura RLX is Acura's all-new luxury flagship sedan. Powered by a new 310-horsepower direct-injected V-6 engine, the RLX represents Acura's advancement toward a higher level of luxury, comfort and quietness while still maintaining the brand's leading dynamic performance.

Taylor was extremely helpful from my test drive request all the way through our buying experience. He answered every question we had, was friendly and punctual. He went out of his way to follow up every step of the way and made sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Once we got to the financing department we met with Dare. Dare made sure we were informed on all of the maintenance packages and benefits and even worked on getting us a better rate. He was very knowledgeable and honest. Both gentleman were honest and never made us feel pressured. We will definitely buy from Mac Churchill Acura again in the future and make sure our friends are aware of the fantastic service we received!

Your Monday Maintenance Tip: Protecting your car's interior from sun damage



The effect of ultraviolet rays and heat can quickly destroy the cloth, leather and vinyl inside your car. While there is not singular remedy to protect a vehicle from the sun, we suggest the following measures to help keep your car's interior looking its best.
  • Use a windshield sunshade to protect your interior against the fading of cloth and drying of leather and vinyl.
  • Window tinting minimizes damaging effects of the sun.
  • For extra protection, apply vinyl and leather protectant at regular intervals.

Last Saturday, 16 Mar 2013, my husband and I were scheduled to meet with Mike Luong, but we met with Thai Nguyen and later spoke with Mike. These two young men work so very well together as a team, it made us at eased. They asked questions about what we want, price range and amount wanting to pay per month. Their honesty and compassion in answering our questions, consideration for our concerns and our time were very refreshing. Long story short they worked hard and we drove away in a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Thanks Mike and Thai for you zealousness in making our search a success. We will refer you two and MacChurchill Acura to our family, friends and church members. Again, thanks for the experience.

The Acura Dealership determined that I needed some maintenance on the transmission and brakes of my Acura RL during my last trip. I had time to do an oil change and replace the fluid in my transmission but said I would have to return for brake work. I came back without an appointment and they were able work me in and replace the front brakes while I waited. There were some questions my me about the price of replacing brakes on an Acura RL but everything was explained to me and fixed to my satisfaction. While there the owner books from an 2014 Acura RLX were shared with me and new features explained in detail. All personnel from Maintenance and Sales were more professional and pleasant than I had experiences at other auto dealerships.

All-New 2014 Acura MDX to Restake Luxury SUV Benchmark Status at the 2013 New York International Auto Show

With its sharpened performance, efficient design, and refined cabin, the third-generation MDX aims to redefine the 7-passenger luxury SUV segment 



The production version of the all-new 2014 Acura MDX will be unveiled March 27, at the 2013 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), which will further cement the model's position as the benchmark in the three-row luxury SUV category. Utilizing a completely new platform that has been optimized in every respect, the seven-passenger MDX will offer enhanced ride comfort, a more versatile cabin, and increased fuel efficiency, while also improving dynamic performance.

The new third-generation 2014 Acura MDX is equipped with a highly efficient direct-injected 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), and will be offered in both SH-AWD and 2-wheel-drive drivetrain variants, the latter configuration being a first for the model. The 2014 MDX features a longer wheelbase that raises ride quality, increases second-row legroom, and improves third-row seat access. In addition, the 2014 Acura MDX harnesses a collection of Acura signature technologies, including the next-generation of the AcuraLink® Connectivity System and Jewel Eye™ LED headlamps.

The 2014 MDX offers a collection of innovative driver assistive and visibility technologies such as the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera and the available Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, and Blind Spot Information (BSI). The third-generation MDX is also equipped with a broad array of advanced safety technologies, including the next generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ II (ACE™ II) body structure and the available Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) systems. Further, the 2014 MDX is expected to achieve top-level safety ratings, including a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA and a TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the IIHS.

We have enjoyed owning three different Acura vehicles over the past 20 plus years. Having worked in multiple cities during my corporate career including Minneapolis, Chicago and Atlanta I have had the benefit of working with several Acura dealers for service including most recently, Nalley Acura in Atlanta. But, I must report that the high level of professional service we have experienced at Mac Churchill Acura goes far beyond our expectations and our previous experiences with the other Acura dealers across the US. We are extremely pleased to have Mac Churchill Acura as our servicing dealer.

This was my first car buying experience and I doubt I will ever have a better one. Thai was extremely professional, helpful and respectful. Most importantly, he was very truthful and knowledgeable about the specific car and the Acura brand. He knows exactly what customer service is, which is a refreshing change from a lot of car dealers, and even most service industries in general. I was fortunate to get to work with him and he far exceeded my expectations. Thanks, Thai, for a great buying experience!

Maintenance Monday: The Best Carwash is a Hand Wash

"We recommend hand washing," says Mike Pennington, director of training at auto-surface-products giant Meguiar's. "Our customers enjoy doing it. It's not a chore." Hand washing gives you a chance to experience the tactile shape of your baby, and it's also a great way to inspect and familiarize yourself with the car's surfaces.

But, Pennington says, don't be like the 60 percent of the population that uses dishwashing detergent when washing the car. It gets the car clean, but strips any protective wax coatings, exposing the vehicle to possible nicks, scratches, and stains. A carwash solution will preserve your car's finish.

When water evaporates, it leaves minerals and dirt on the surface of your car. So when you're done with the wash, dry the surface with a rubber-blade squeegee. One example is the California Water Blade, a large silicone squeegee that some of our photographers use to dry cars quickly during photo shoots.

Acura TL Wins "Best Cars for Families" Award From U.S. News & World Report

The 2013 TL, Acura's performance luxury sedan, has been named "Best Upscale Midsize Car for Families" by U.S. News & World Report in its 2013 "Best Cars for Families" awards.

"The Acura TL offers the ideal blend of performance, comfort and safety, resulting in a luxury sedan that's a smart choice for families," said Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations. "The TL provides parents with the performance they desire in a luxury sedan paired with a well-appointed interior, top safety ratings, a host of standard Acura technologies and spacious second row seating that is ideal for clients and children."

The "Best Cars for Families" awards combine quality, size and family-friendly features into a composite score. Quality is measured using a weighted average of scores from the U.S. News rankings at the time the awards are published. The rankings compare cars on the basis of safety, reliability and a consensus of automotive critics' opinions. Size is based on a vehicle's seating capacity and interior space. For family-friendly features, U.S. News factors in the availability of features deemed to be helpful to families by its editors.

The 2013 TL, featuring Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, was among the first vehicles to receive the highest possible safety rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) under its more-stringent testing guidelines. ACE is an exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes. Standard safety equipment on all Acura models includes Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with traction control, ABS, dual-stage/multiple-threshold front airbags, front-side airbags, side curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions, front seatbelts with automatic tensioning system and load limiters, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

The 2013 Acura TL is offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain configurations. The front-wheel drive TL is powered by an all-aluminum, 3.5-liter, 24-valve, VTEC® V-6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel drive version of the TL utilizes Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system and comes equipped with an all-aluminum,  3.7-liter, 24-valve, VTEC®  V-6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both versions are equipped with a Sequential SportShift 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. For the enthusiast, a 6-speed manual transmission is available on the TL SH-AWD model when equipped with the Technology Package.

With a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP*) starting at $35,905, the 2013 Acura TL offers an outstanding array of standard features such as premium leather seats; adjustable, power front seats with 2-position driver's seat memory settings; Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® cellular telephone interface; an 8-speaker, 276-watt audio system with a 6-disc CD changer, AM/FM radio, XM® Radio, Bluetooth® Audio and USB port and AUX jack connectivity; Dual-zone, dual-mode automatic climate control system with auto humidity control; power moonroof; and aluminum wheels, sized at 17x8 inches for the front-wheel drive TL and 18x8 inches for the TL with SH-AWD.
